Thursday 20 June PSGS celebrated our fifth annual health, safety and the environment day. Whilst every day is HSE day, once a year we dedicate a day specifically to focus our whole team’s attention on HSE performance. The day started with a briefing at all sites to ensure all employees knew it was HSE day and what activities they were expected to be involved in, and continued with tool box talks throughout the day on a range of topics including stop card observation procedures, PPE protocols and green day activities. Over 100 staff members took part in the ‘fastest finger first’ online health and safety quiz, answering questions on food safety, safe work practices, and the environment. There were strong scores across the board demonstrating the effectiveness of our regular health and safety training programme. A company-wide video conference was held in the afternoon to present awards to health and safety champions across all areas of the business as well as recognise the work of our health and safety managers and supervisors.

Providing our services in a safe manner in order to project our team, our clients and all other stakeholders and the communities we are based in is part of our mission and dedicating a day to remind everyone of this is something we will continue to do every year.
